Gluten & Allergen Free Expo

The Atlanta Gluten & Allergen Free Expo takes place the weekend of May 17 at the Cobb Galleria Center. I am excited to report the Expo has partnered with the Gluten Intolerance Group's 40th Anniversary conference to create a weekend of education, great gluten-free food, and comradery. This is the Expo's first visit to Atlanta, so I am anxious to see what it has to offer.

The Expo is a two-day event that is open to the public and it invites gluten-free community members to sample/purchase products from more than 90 companies. Every product in the whole room is gluten free and many are also offer vegan, casein-free, dairy-free, nut-free and soy-free too. The Expo also features lectures throughout the day from re-known experts in the gluten-free community, such as: Dr. Fasano, Dr. Cynthia Rudert, Carol Fenster, and more.

What I like about this Expo is that it is divided into areas making it easy to peruse gluten-free products that fit your needs. There is a "Free From" section that only includes gluten-free products that are also nut free. There is also an Author's Table that highlights local and national authors who are selling/promoting their books.

This year's expo features some of my favorite local gluten-free vendors: 2B Whole, American Gra-Frutti, Fly By South, Frannie's Gluten Free, Ingles Markets, Macaron Queen, Magnolia Manor Sweets, Pure Knead, Sugar & Spice Market, and Taste of Gluten Free.

I am excited to try products from a number of national vendors, such as: Freedom Foods and their cereals and mixes, i hear keenwah's quinoa clusters, Hope Foods and their inventive line of dips, hummus, and dark chocolate spreads, Hail Merry's nuts, macaroons, and miracle tarts, Nature's Path's new line of EnviroKidz cereals, coconut ice cream and new ice cream bars from Coconut Bliss, and any of Schar's long list of products.

Tickets are available for purchase online prior to the show and start at $15 per adult and $3 per child under 3 for a one day pass. Tickets purchased onsite run $20 per adult and $5 per child, so purchase your tickets in advance. Better yet, use promo code BLOGATL and receive a 35% discount on tickets.

I will be there as an official member of the Blogger Team, so please say 'hi' if you see me. What aspect of the Expo looks the most interesting to you? What speaker are you looking forward to hearing?
