Gloomy weather may cause SAD

Ever notice a change in your mood when the weather is rainy or overcast? Did you know that there is a medical term for those feelings? S.A.D is (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and it is a form of depression. The absence of sunlight can cause a deficiency in vitamin D and slight, severe, depression.

Apparently, studies show that exposure to at least 15 minutes of sunlight per day can make S.A.D symptoms a thing of the past. According to research, feelings of sadness during rainy weather are not just imaginary.

This time of year can bring an increase in cases of S.A.D. While good exercise habits are a necessity all year long, good exercise routines and healthy eating habits during winter months are essential in maintaing a positive outlook and a strong mind.
