Apparently Global Warming is no longer profitable because Global Cooling is the new politically correct trend. We’ve been told for several years that the virus known as human beings who inhabit the earth are destroying it with our habits and lifestyle. Yes, we are a wasteful and neglectful species, and we have, are and will likely continue to abuse our natural resources, but how have we gone from the threat of Global Warming to the extreme opposite of Global Cooling?
Jerome R. Corsi, columnist for World Net Daily and Human Events, and author of New York Times bestselling books: The Obama Nation and Unfit for Command (with co-author John O'Neill) wrote in a recent article for WND (here) wrote of fears over a coming ice age, the likes of which haven’t been seen since the 1970s. This latest political agenda arose in the aftermath of the “Climategate” scandal that served to cast doubts on the legitimacy of the theory of Global Warming.
President Obama’s Science Czar, John Holdren, was among the scientists who predicted that a carbon-dioxide induced famine would result in famines, causing the death of 1 billion people by 2012. This is the same John Holdren who, in the 1970s, insisted that government mandated population control was essential for the survival of the human race. Mr. Holdren’s motivation is, of course, the supposed urgency of the passage of Obama’s cap and trade legislation.
The truth that a liberal media and our current administration won’t tell us is that Global Warming and Cooling are both myths. The truth that we need to be aware of is that our beautiful blue planet goes through climate shifts. It always has and always will. Yes, we homo sapiens are a careless, selfish and reckless species. Yes, we have and continue to squander our natural resources. Yes, we were given dominion over the earth and everything on it. As stated in Genesis 1: 26-28, we were commanded of God to subdue and populate our planet. Ultimately we are promised in 2 Peter 3: 3-13 that the earth shall remain.
There is no reason to be fearful of the destruction of this planet that we have been given. Our concern must be for the souls who are lost among us. Are we more likely to share the current politically correct agenda or the Truth of the Gospel as we converse with our peers?
