The Global Citizen Festival is a one day charity music festival taking place in Central Park. Artists including Alicia Keys, John Mayor, Kings of Leon, and Stevie Wonder are performing with no compensation in order to support the end of global poverty.
The Global Citizen Festival is a chance to celebrate previous and ongoing success in fighting poverty while focusing yet on what needs to happen, emphasizing issues such as health, education, and women’s equality. The festival is a start to a solid foundation that will hopefully push world leaders to fulfill any promises made regarding looking after the people. This event is presented by Cotton On Foundation, which has helped to build the best performing schools in Uganda and provides change to those in need everywhere.
Enjoy a great time with music from favorites artists and support a great cause. The best news of this event, and any like it, is that people don’t have to wait to become a world leader in order to make any change.
