Glenn Beck's new website The Blaze has officially launched. After attracting attention across the country with his Restoring Honor Rally in Washington, DC on August 28, Beck is keeping his name in the top Google trends as word of his newest venture makes the rounds on the Web.
A peek at the 'about' page on The Blaze, informs visitors that it is "a news, information and opinion site brought to you by Glenn Beck and a dedicated team of writers, journalists & video producers. Our goal is to post, report and analyze stories of interest on a wide range of topics from politics and culture to faith and family."
Exciting stuff? Thought provoking? Not really. It's just another basic source of information and opinionated blogging with Glenn Beck, behind it.
Most posts today were by Assistant Editor Meredith Jessup, while a few were posted by Jonathon M. Seidl, also an Assistant Editor at The Blaze. The articles are listed under the section titled "The Stories" with sub-topics such as "Health", "Politics", "Faith" and "Government."
There's a blog as well, with opinion pieces by the same two assistant editors that are writing the posts on the main page, http://theblaze.com
With a Twitter page already set up (http://twitter.com/theblaze), The Blaze is off and running with a little over 1200 followers in its first nine hours, tweeting out each story posted and following no one as of this posting.
How successful will Beck's website be? The Christian Science Monitor quoted public relations specialist Adam Hanft, "It remains to be seen whether Beck will yield to the web's furious cacophony of voices – can get comfortable with dissenting views presented without curation – or if The Blaze will occupy a much more narrow niche as a source of aggressive, pointed commentary alone."

Well I sure hope he puts on some good dissenting voices it would be a first in awhile for all media and newspapers these days. The wsj is the only legit paper to read out of while all the others are a joke including this place.

I listen to Beck all day at work my names "Brad in Portage, MI" he touches on issues which anger me.... I have felt the dishonoring of our founding fathers for years now with the direction our country is headed... It is time for change... No more Gay influence on our children... No more Evil!!!! I support glenn Beck and I am prepared and ready to fight when the time calls upon me! Our country is heading down the wrong path... Not because we are bad people we are just being decieved and influenced... It's time to govern ourselves... Freedom belongs to those who have morals!!!

Why would anyone with a middle school education or better bother to listen to that freak? He has admitted on-air that he is a recovering alcaholic with ADD. The best thing you could do is to ignore freaks of society like him, and concentrate on exposing persons that have an impact on society. Geeeezzz.
