Glenn Beck's fame yields new crop of books on Fox News star

The degree of fame that Glenn Beck has achieved through his controversial conservative political viewpoints is revealed in the number of books being written about the Fox News and radio talk-show star.

Alexander Zaitchik has a book on Beck coming out June 1 titled "Common Nonsense: Glenn Beck and the Triumph of Ignorance."

In addition, Dana Milbank is writing a book on Beck called "Tears of a Clown" to be published later this year, reports Politico. Milbank is also the author of the 2007 book "Homo Politicus."

Beck himself has also gotten into the author game, penning the bestsellers "Arguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds and Big Government" and "Glenn Beck's Common Sense: The Case Against an Out-of-Control Government, Inspired by Thomas Paine".

Beck is also the author of the more light-hearted "The Christmas Sweater."
