Glenn Beck joked during his "Restoring Honor" speech video (watch the short YouTube.com video clip below) that the media would claim there were only 1,000 people at Beck's rally.
"I have just gotten word from the media that there are about 1,000 people here today," Beck said to laughter.
Of course, Beck is referring to previous online controversy from opposers saying that only thousands of people showed up to other rallies that conservatives (don't you hate labels?) claimed lots more folks had attended.
This is really is 'build it and they will come' moment, he proclaimed, then went on to estimate like a reporter does by eye-balling the size of the crowd in sections.
"The reflecting pool holds about 200,000," he said, noting the fields that hold 250,000 - 300,000 people as well.
"They're full behind me, and they are now across the street approaching the Washington Monument," Beck said at his August 28th rally to much applause.
"Something beyond imagination is happening. Something that is beyond man is happening. America today begins to turn back to God," Beck proclaimed in the below YouTube video of the Restoring Honor rally.
"The third most-listened to radio show in all of radio," is how the announcer festooned Glenn's arrival, claiming he is, "preaching the truth every day."

I agree with you on the danger of liberalism, Obama, and the christian haters. Glenn Beck speaks the truth, and the left doesn't like it. If they can stop the truth, then they can strip away our freedom. God bless Glenn, and keep him safe, and may free speech always remain free in our country, but freedom isn't free. We have to fight for it.

It is time for America to wake up from the media hype surrounding Obama the man is, by far, the worst president in this country's history. He has managed in less than two years to TRIPLE the national debt, kill the economy, and send a message to the world that the United States is weak. So far all I have seen from this man is his ability to take vacations whenever there is real work to be done. This man has succeded in dividing a nation along every line possible, racial, social, political, and even religious. Every thing that comes from this mans lips is a lie he dosn't even believe it himself but he's tring to sell it to you. If this idiot is re-elected and we still have a Democratic dominated congress in November, I will weep for the future of this country.

He warned Rumsfeld of Osama bin laden. Then 911 happened and George W. Bush your hero managed to Send us into unprecidented debt. From surplus to debt and now obama comes in and begins to reform our economic system in order to put us back on track to cut into this debt and you make this wild claim that he TRIPLED our debt? Thanks to Glenn Beck, staff and National Park system for their tireless work and good organization to bring US together...as a country while others 'try to divide through rhetoric, lies and propaganda hype'. Just keep going Glenn!...the better this is the more we UNITE!

CLINTON besides sperm on a blue dress left America a surplus because he had brakes put on his agenda when he lost his party's majority in 1994 when HILLARYCARE went down the tubes. He also raised the Social Security age which gave him the "so-called" Social Security trust fund surplus. His worse moments were pushing through NAFTA that stupid "Poppa Bush" had come up with, later he blessed us with the World Trade Agreement that gave CHINA "most preferential trade partner status" the result which we now owe our own and our kids' future to them. Additionally as he was turning off the White House lights on his way out he managed to shove another winner into our butts - Executive Order 13166 that opened up the gates to millions more ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS by giving them more "rights" than we have as citizens and LEGAL LATINO IMMIGRANTS LIKE ME !!! INSTEAD OF ARGUING LOOK THIS EXECUTIVE ORDER UP IF YOU HAVE THE INTELLIGENCE AND HONESTY TO DO SO... Both parties, my friends, have been guilty of screwing this country up. If BECK and PALIN stay on track and don't get corrupted BY EITHER REPU-GNANTS or DEMO-CRITS we might still salvage this country by forcing them to be HONEST WITH US - if not we'll go down the tubes like ROME and all other great civilizations that preceeded us. We then will live under SHARIA LAW....It will be interesting to find out how Paris Hilton, the Kardashians and HOLLYWOOD will adjust to our new lifestyle.
