Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally has been talked about for a few days now heatedly online, and today, Saturday, August 28, 2010, Beck's rally is finally here.

And the whole rally is a hot button issue on Facebook and Twitter with people putting in their opinions all over.
"My job as a believer is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ," says the award-winning speaking speaking right now.
Whatever folks think of Beck, many were hoping and praying that Glenn isn't going blind, as he told his viewers earlier weeks ago.
And Beck's CPAC speech criticized Republicans, saying they need a come-to-Jesus moment.
No doubt what partisan party line folks fall on the side of, lots of people are still tuning in to Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally, if not to see what the humorous and heat-inducing speaking will say next.
Already close to 150,000 people have admitted to liking the Facebook page; others are probably staying in the closet and still watching, not ready to give it that much of a thumbs up yet.
While many Christians of course agree with bringing the principles and Word of God back to America for real, the true believers want it to be based in truth, and not in a fake facade of I'm-better-than-you-ness or Tea Party behavior that comes off as racist.

Im sick of so many americans not having a brain in there heads these days. Obama is out after his first term. Its not because of anything other then his politics are absolutely terrible and hes giving money to people who dont deserve it. He wants people to need him. He wants to be the ruler of all rulers. Glenn Beck is just letting everyone know in an agressive way that america is going down hill fast and that we need to fix. People are so ignorant these days and they have there heads so far up obama butt just because hes the first african american president, no other reason, half the people that voted for him probably dont even know what his policies are.

The tea party movement is not racist, thats just the media and the real racist twisting and manipulating the stories to create contraversy so people will watch. Glenn Beck needs to quit trying to move us towards a Theocracy. He needs to realize, along with his followers that a true democracy is run by the people not religious doctrine. There is a reason we have freedom of religion in this country. Again, it's cool if you're christian but this country is not a Theocracy quit acting like it is, faith is a personal thing. Christians are a minority in the global population. 33percent of the world, the rest of us should not be forced to conform to their way of living and beliefs simply because they believe a higher deity is telling them it's the right thing. It's insanity. Education and Medicine advancements are the only way this country will survive. Continual road blocks from conservatives simply slows down the inevitable, the next level of human awareness and technology.

Well it's a good thing our form of government is not a democracy IT'S A REPUBLIC!!!! God does exist whether you like it or not, and the role of government is to protect our GOD GIVEN rights. It is the duty of everyone who knows the good news about God to enlighten others, that is our RIGHT as Christians and since this right is given to us by God the government ought to protect this right since that is the role of government. Your talk about education and medicine being the crucial things this country needs to worry about is irrelevant and stupid. The problem is we have forsaken God and our leaders and many of the people in this country only care about the almighty dollar and not about the importance of faith in God in our lives nor the welfare of the country. By the way Beck is not trying to move us towards a theocracy, he simple wishes to restore faith in God in this country he does not support the inauguration of a state religion.
Where or where are the independant thinkers? We have too many spoon fed journalists that have lost their way. Rather than being concerned with uncovering truth WHEREVER it is found, they view the world from their political viewpoint and then write stories to support their world view.
Rather than REALLY researching this man before making these types of statements, it's easier to just do a Google search and read ABOUT Beck from other "news sources". (Usually news sources that share their political views)
Research is time consuming and hard work and now more than ever before, we can't leave that all "jounalists". They used to teach journalists to report without bias and that takes guts and a lot of hard work.
Truth is always truth, not matter which side of the aisle it comes from. Spin presents only one side - attempting to convince people to believe something else that is not true. (The Stimulus comes to mind...) It's time for all of us to re-read The Emporer's New Clothes and do some serious THINKING.

Really? I mean, really? Glenn Beck is an egotistical, trouble-making maniac. He lives off controversy just like bacteria lives off its host. He does not epitomize any aspects of Christianity; in fact, he has publically told his "followers" that if their churches teach social justice to run away from that church and find another. Beck does not follow Jesus Christ's teachings. I propose that if Jesus were living in today's socirty he would most likely have liberal leanings.

I don't see what's wrong with people coming together to restore God in this country.This rally was not about Glen Beck . It was much , much bigger then him . It was remembering what this country was founded on and the principals many of us have lost but yen to return to.

First, our country was founded on freedoms, not Christianity. About half of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were atheists. However, they believed that a people should be free to worship as they chose. Our country was founded on principles common to most major world religions.
Second, how quickly people have forgotten that a Republican president got into office with a budget SURPLUS and within his first year in office turned that into a deficit that built up for 8 years as he never vetoed a budget bill until the Democrats had control of congress. The port added to the budget with every appropriations bill was staggering.
Third, Pres. Obama inherited a country in recession, a massive deficit, two wars, and yet managed to avoid a complete financial meltdown shortly after he was sworn in--a meltdown that was in the making because a Republican administration had eased up the banking regulations--the very same action that has preceded every recession in our country. To think he could solve this even in one term is thinking that shows a person doesn't understand the severity of the situation and Republicans blocking everything without providing reasonable alternatives, I'm as tired as anyone of the political fighting. It is dividing our country. And people like Glenn Beck and fear mongering pundits, mostly at FOX news owned by Rupert Murdock, are only making the situation worse.
First, half the signers were not atheists, some believed in the idea of deities, not organized religion. To portray half of them as atheists is flat out wrong!
Second, you mindless political hacks can’t understand that both parties have driven the train off of the tracks, while we fight amongst ourselves. Kind of like the pharaohs of Egypt. When ever they wanted to prolong the slave’s bondage, they keep them blaming and fighting each other.
Third, President Obama is the most unaccomplished, unqualified president in the history of the United States.
