On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck promised that his network is in possession of information and working on a story that will shake this nation to its core.
"You won't believe it when I tell you. You won't believe it," said Beck. "You won't believe it because it's exactly that. It is 'yep, your country is done; meet the new one.' It's amazing."
No doubt, many of you reading this are now thinking 'Hey, wait. Haven't we heard this one before?'
Yes, you have. Twice, in fact.
First in April, following in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing, Glenn Beck claimed to have information about Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, a Saudi national who was injured during the attack, which he threatened to reveal unless the Obama administration confessed over the weekend.
"There is no depth that these people will not stoop to," Beck had said of the administration at the time. "They have until Monday and then The Blaze will expose it."
The administration did not confess, forcing Beck to reveal a flimsy conspiracy theory, which he stuck to until he finally degenerated into insisting there was a conspiracy to make him look like a conspiracy theorist.
Then in June, Beck claimed to have a one-page document which "would take down pretty much the whole power structure, pretty much everything", which he promised to reveal within twenty-four hours of his announcement.
That one, Beck apparently forgot about completely.
If nothing else, Beck was right when he said nobody would believe it. That's because, this being the third time he has pulled this crap in 2013 alone, everyone should know better than to believe anything he says at all.
