In a strange twist concerning the continuing crisis in Egypt, conservative editors Rich Lowry of National Review and Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard took the curious step of accusing Fox News TV personality Glenn Beck of 'fear-mongering.'
The criticism came as Beck focused on ominous looming forces in the Middle East that appear to be poised to seize the window of opportunity the Egyptian crisis has opened in order to mount a coup of sorts that would place in power the extremist Islamic group 'The Muslim Brotherhood.'
Immediately the mainstream media kicked into high gear to attempt to discredit Beck. He was accused of being a 'kooky conspiracy theorist' for merely suggesting that an Islamic extremist group would use the social unrest in Egpyt to seize power.
The centerpiece of the criticism is Beck's insistence that the Muslim Brotherhood has in recent years deberately attempted to cast itself as 'moderate' so that it can align with non-Muslim forces that wish to work toward common goals, namely, the demise of capitalism and the proliferation of governments around the world that are authoritarian, and by extension, oppressive.
Leftwing voices in the media howled with protest at such a suggestion, due to the fact that at the heart of Beck's assertions is the growing alliance between the Left and Muslim extremists. In spite of the fact that Beck demonstrated that this is no conspiracy theory but fact, the mainstream media vehemently denies any such collaboration.
But the most curious aspect of the vitriol with which Beck has been attacked over this issue is the fact that 2 leading conservative voices, Lowry and Kristol, joined in the bash-fest.
One can expect the Left to be enraged over being exposed for their underhanded scheme. But what could be the reason for the conservative condemnation of Beck?
Perhaps some conservative voices genuinely believe that the Egyptian uprising is truly a push for liberty and democracy. However, while such a point of view has merit in that all such massive demonstrations in oppressive nations begin with the purest of motives, invariably the forces of oppression, often hiding in the background, quickly seize the moment to assert their hidden objectives.
The Muslim Brotherhood, which supports Sharia Law, the Jihad, and has given birth to such barbarous forces as Al Qaeda and Hamas, is poised to seize power in Egypt should they find the opportunity.
As a self-described Muslim extremist organization in numerous documents penned by the group, the Brotherhood would be at the very least no better than the Mubarak regime and in all likelihood infinitely worse.
While at the moment the Egyptian government, which is in essence controlled by the military, appears to be determined not to allow the Muslim Brotherhood to gain power in the country, the forces of the Left have amassed an incredibly intense push toward exactly that.
Various labor unions of the West have sent messages to the Egyptian population expressing 'solidarity' with the 'workers,' as if this were some sort of worker's strike. The Obama Administration, the United Nations, the mainstream media, and powerful Democratic politicians moved quickly to portray the uprising as a 'longing for democracy' in Egypt.
The facts prove otherwise. At the heart of the demonstrations is widespread discontent with the Egyptian economy. Unemployment and poverty are rampant. The government has failed to listen to the cries of the citizens to do something to improve horrid conditions.
However, the mantra of the Left is encapsulated in a statement made by one of Obama's closest advisers, Rahm Emanuel--'never let a good crisis go to waste.' The Left believes that aligning itself with any group that shares its goal of the demise of American capitalism will only help reach its goals, even if that group happens to be Islamic extremist, Communist, Marxist, Maoist, a labor union, or any other group that pushes toward a 'new world order' (their term) in which free markets and capitalism are destroyed.

Exactly, and if the muslim brotherhood is worse, you can expect the people to react the same way. If the muslim brotherhood is what the people want, then the people have a right to have them...remember, the consent of the governed. It is no more US or Israel's business than China would have in telling US what to do and who to have govern.
If you dont want muslim extremists, stop creating them.
We also saw what happened in Palestine when the people refused to elect an Israeli puppet regime and elected Hamas, then, since Israel didnt get what it wanted, it labeled them a terrorist organization and said that they stole power, which is a blatent lie in order to demonize them so they can do to them what they have been doing to them.
The truth is, you dont walk into another country, kill the people and steal their land and imprison them in an open air prison and expect them to be cordial afterwords. Didnt we learn anything from our own history...or are we going to support repeating it? The native americans were done the same way, and yes, many times terrorist acts were committed by the settlers (like Israel) and blamed on the natives in order to take more land through lies and force.
We live in America, not Israel, if Israel is so concerned about Egypt, they need to start acting peacefully with their neighbors. Israel is not an american state, it is a foreign entity that has unfettered access to our government, and ignore those who speak against. No more wars for Israel, they have a hatred for all goyim. Why would someone support those who have utter contempt for you? Notice how our government and Israel (the 'only' democracy in the ME...lie" fight long and hard to keep democracy from happening in other countless countries?

Glenn Beck researches his information for his show very well. He consults with experts who provide the information for him. Many others in the field simply repeat what has been told to them by the White House.

"We are witnessing history unfold." "America will everything we can to support an orderly and genuine transition to democracy." "It is hard for Mubarack to step down but I think I can convince him to do it.
He believes he has more influence in the world than he really does.
Glenn Beck only researches ways he can use a simple connection to the people he is trying to co-opt, he was not feeling this way when a repub was in power was he, infact, he was cheerleading the destruction of our constitutional rights. He only flip flopped to try and attach himself to legitimate anger and go with the flow to try and eventually lead it. That is the best way to defeat your opposition, is to lead it. His handlers know this well. Make no mistake, Glenn Beck is the modern day Benedict Arnold.
We also did not ask King Gearge for an orderly transition of power, we kicked him out hard, and now, we have our own republic...if you can keep it. (which by the way seems like our generations before us...couldnt).

Not really. Israel had to expand to protect itself from enemies in those territories who were killing its people. Even with the additions, the vast sea of Muslims make it look like a tiny blip on the screen.
US aid to foreign countries is less than $50 billion. Not chump change, but not enough that it would erase our problems either.

Those Editors, Rich Lowery and Bill Kristol are absolutely out of their minds if they think Glenn Beck is fear mongering. That's like saying, "The Muslim Brotherhood doesn't want to live that close to Israel because they might attack us and we don't want any trouble because we are a peaceful people. We just live and let live". Glenn tells us what he thinks and pushes us to RESEARCH IT. He is NOT a Kooky Conspiracy Theorist. He is someone who pays attention to what is going on. He doesn't take money for trying to discredit a wonderful Human Being like himself . At least he tries to help us understand what is happening around us.
