Glenn Beck may outlast those fighting him for his "Obama is racist" comments
The Glenn Beck lost sponsor count is now up to 36 according Media Matters. Beck's comment calling President Obama a racist has definitely sparked a negative reaction. However, Beck's lost sponsors mean nothing if he is able to replace them with other eager advertisers and feel no pressure to change his message. So far many other sponsors are still supporting Beck despite increasing pressure from Media Matters and Color of Change. For a full list of such sponsors click here.
The truth is there will always be someone willing to support Beck's show. Beck's extreme antics and conservative populism will always give him an easy audience and some advertisers will be willing to take Beck's "bad" to get the "good" of his viewership. At some point however the law of supply and demand has to take over and the fewer sponsors Beck has the less demand there will be for his advertising air time. This could ultimately lead to Beck's show bringing in less revenue even with the increased viewership.
There are some signs that Beck may be changing his message some to appease sponsors. While Glenn Beck is still advocating some fairly ridiculous and paranoid conspiracy theories (seen below) he has backed off the racism message of late. While Beck still essentially claims President Obama is trying to take over the world, he has not been echoing the "black man takes over the white world in revenge for slavery" theme he had been emphasizing before.
This is not to say that Beck will not return to more extreme and provocative language in the future. My personal theory is that Beck is merely waiting for the situation to cool down and the organizations opposing him to lose momentum before returning to his racism tones. Only time will tell us who wins the Beck boycott war.

Why don't you mention what type of information he is giving the American people? He is going through the questionable advisors and czars that Obama is surrounded by. Frank Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers, and Rev Wright were just the tip of the ice berg.
The MSM seems to be so mesmerized by The One, yet they feel the need to conceal so much. If he's so great, tell the whole story to the people. Tell us about his friends, global tax, Code Pink, and all the other hidden gems!

The truth is that Fox News Channel hasn't lost a single sponsor, or a single dime as a result of this boycott. A few advertisers have requested that their ads not be shown during Beck's show, but some of companies Media Matters and Color of Change claim are boycotting Beck say they have stopped advertising on all talk shows, liberal and conservative alike, and are not targeting Beck. Glenn's ratings this week have been higher than ever. The announcement of the boycott has only caused some people who have never watched Beck to tune in to see what all the fuss is about. MM and CoC have only helped him get his message out. A website, defendglenn.com has been set up by a supporter of Beck and it received over 2 million hits in 5 days. Thousands of emails have been sent to the site by Beck viewers who say they will no longer do business with companies who take part in the Beck boycott. It will take a lot more than this to silence Beck.
Also, Beck has never said a word about "black man takes over the white world in revenge for slavery." That is a blatant falsehood. You either completely fabricated that statement or you are just repeating a lie you heard from someone else. Many of Beck's crtics seem to do that. People who have never watched a single minute of one of Glenn's shows seem to be some of his biggest critics. One important point, Glenn always tells his viewers not to take his word for anything. He encourages everyone to investigate every word he says for themselves. It seems to me that some people might be afraid that people will start doing just that, and find out he's not the nutjob he's made out to be.
Ryan you are about as clueless as they come. Open your eyes, the truth is screaming at you. You, however are simply deaf. You are a fulfillment of the old adage which says, "those who choose to be ignorant will succeed."
This country is quickly moving into the realm of communism and you can't even see it.
May I ask you one question? What is the goal you are trying to achieve with these articles you are writing?
Ridiculou & paranoid? I'm willing to bet you haven't spent 2 minutes researching anything Glenn has said on his show. Writing an article like this without some basic fact checking is what I'd call ridiculous. Judging by what you've written you it's obvious you haven't done your homework. If you have then you are intentionally misleading your readers. The facts are readily available to anyone who wants them. Glenn stated his opinion that he believes Obama to be a racist based upon specific statements made by Obama that could be found within a few minutes if you wanted to report the truth, but that isn't the "theme" of Glenn's show. Glenn has been pointing out members of Obama's administration, certain advisors, and organizations to which he has very close ties that have undeniable Marxist/Socialist backgrounds. That too is easily researched. Have you ever heard of Google? You might try typing in some of the names on that blackboard and then you can come back aqnd write a retraction.

Beck spent an entire show explaining how he felt health care reform was all about Obama enabling blacks to takeover whites. I wrote a piece about it you can look it up by clicking on the Glenn Beck topic. Video of Beck is included.
I do more research then Beck. If you google Beck you find plenty of nasty info about him but I don't use that to attack the man, instead I attack his arguments and logic.
What am I trying to accomplish? Many things including but not limited too (1) contributing to the marketplace of ideas and political discussion (2) correcting what I believe are distortions and misleading arguments by people like Beck (3) Providing useful information. If you disagree then you obviously have the right to make comments yourself. I would just submit that name calling and accusations with no backup get us nowhere. Attack the argument not the person.

Glenn has never said a single word about health care reform being used by "Obama to enable blacks to take over whites." Never. That is an outright lie, and you know it. Follow your own advice. Attack the arguement, not the person. Glenn has had several blacks on his show who agree with him. Glen has been pointing out some very questionable people with a history of radical socialist/communist beliefs, statements, and actions who have close connections to Obama and his adminstration. Most of them are white. It has nothing to with race. Try drinking something other than Kool-aid. Learn to think for yourself. It's good for you.
