Glenn Beck for president? Part 1

Is 2012 his agenda?

On August 28, 2010 Glenn Beck achieved the impossible. He got over 100,000 people to come from the east, the west, the north, and the south to support his "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington, D.C. "You don't get that many people to come to Washington and stand there and have that kind of a moment without signs, without any political messages, for no reason," Beck said in the Fox interview. That's "the first message" that politicians should get, he said. "People aren't really happy with things."

Despite his plea not to run, a claim all future Presidents make, Beck is building an amazing amount of momentum right before the November mid-term elections, and while a Beck-Palin ticket wouldn't work, Beck could be the personality the GOP needs to take back the White House in 2012. He would be able to debate Barack Obama like no one else, and his brash honesty would make him a truly unique voice in American politics.

But what is going against him are his outlandish past statements about race and his religion. A devout Mormon, he would potentially lose a large amount of Christian evangelicals, as many feared Mitt Romney did in the primaries.

What Beck brings that Romney did not though is passion. While spoofed on Saturday Night Live for his chalkboard theories and eccentric hand motions, the man has been the second highest rated news analyst for some time now behind Bill O'Reilly, and his radio show finally made it Los Angeles a few weeks ago to KRLA 870. He is growing in a economy that isn't.

Beck is a polarizing figure, no doubt. But his ability to rally a conservative and libertarian crowd through a microphone shows an Obama-esque ability to inspire. The only question now is who could be his running mate? Next time I will look into potential running mates. Any suggestions?

Ron Paul! I would have a difficult time choosing between them. With both of them on the same ticket, it would be a simple YES!!!
