Glenn Beck has shared information on several occasions with his viewers and listeners, on the dangers of the Cloward & Piven Strategy. The Cloward–Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven that states:
The ultimate objective of this strategy is to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income, calling for national programs to eliminate poverty by the outright redistribution of income.
Numerous progressive/socialist/extreme left websites, such as The Nation, try to debunk Glenn Beck's views on Piven. The Nation says hate mail Piven receives is nothing compared to what some are saying about one-half of Cloward and Piven, Frances Fox Piven:

Will this teach-in by Frances Fox Piven, of Cloward & Piven, teach the college students to refuse to pay back their school loan?
Will she tell them how to secure a mortgage loan, only to not honor the contract and refuse to pay the mortgage?
What are they teaching in colleges today? Are they trying to crank out another generation of dope-smokin' hippies?
