Glencross records a hat trick in Flames win over Predators Friday

According to TSN, the Calgary Flames had no problem finding the back of the net Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Left winger Curtis Glencross recorded three third period goals as the Flames defeated the Nashville Predators 6-3. Glencross, who scored his tenth, eleventh and twelfth goals of the season, is the only Flame this season in double digits in goals.

Matt Stajan, who has played extremely well on both ends of the ice in recent games, also collected three points Friday as the former Toronto Maple Leaf had three assists.

With the win, the Flames moved into twelfth place in the Western Conference with 26 points and are four points back of the San Jose Sharks for a playoff spot.

Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators, considered by many as one of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League was outplayed by his Finnish countryman, Miikka Kiprusoff. Rinne failed to make a save as he gave up first period goals to Mark Giordano and Blake Comeau before beng replaced by Chris Mason.

The Flames next play Monday in Dallas.
