It has been several weeks since the tragic death of Cory Monteith. Because his death happened during the off-season of “Glee,” the actors on the show had time to put together a tribute of sorts. Since Montieth was dating co-star Lea Michele, she will be doing a tribute to him on the show as well. According to an article posted by E! Online on October 3, Lea Michele will be singing an Adele track to honor her late love. There is also a clip posted from the tribute episode, and it is a tearjerker.
Cory Monteith died from a heroin and alcohol combination. He had a history of drug abuse and fell victim to the power it had over him. Lea Michele was devastated at the loss of her beau, and she kept silent for quite some time after. Jane Lynch did the tribute to Monteith during the live Emmy broadcast this year, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience.
Creator Ryan Murphy talked about the difficulty in filming the tribute episode and recognizes it was hard for everyone from the actors to the camera crew. Everyone that knew Cory Monteith loved him, and that included those he worked with. The tribute episode is set to air on October 10 at 9 p.m. CST on FOX.
