According to police, staff members entered the room where Monteith was staying after he missed his checkout time and found the Glee actor deceased in his room.

Police also state that Monteith stayed in his room last night and Friday night with several friends before leaving to spend the evening on the town. Surveillance videos show him heading back to his room by himself in the early hours of the morning.

Police do not currently suspect any foul play, though an autopsy is scheduled Monday to determine cause the young actor's of death.

Monteith, who played parts in Smallville and Final Destination 3, grew to fame after gaining a part on the popular musically-based show, Glee. He also is known for holding an off screen romantic relationship with Lea Michele, who plays Monteith's on again, off again girlfriend on the series.

Monteith was known for being "Madly in love with her [Michele].

Earlier this year, Monteith voluntarily checked himself into a drug addiction treatment center after admitting personal substance abuse issues, which was his second time in substance abuse treatment.

Lea Michele was known for wearing a supportive necklace that read, "Cory," around her neck.

There is no evidence the actor's death is linked to his addiction.

The actor told Parade magazine in 2011 that he began abusing drugs at the age of 13, finally entering a rehab center at 19 after an intervention by his mother and close friends.

He first came onto the scene of Glee back in 2009 where he played a football quarterback at a high school in Ohio who was forced to join the school's glee club. It wasn't long after that his character became an integral part of the singing group.

Monteith won a Teen Choice Award in 2011 for top actor in a comedy. The cast of the show won Screen Actor's Guild Award for an ensemble in a comedy in 2010.

Lea Michele recently posted photos of a trip out of the United States. Photos appeared of the couple soaking up the sun in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Glee is set to return for season five on September 19 of this year.
