Gleeks at large are anxiously awaiting the Feb. 25 return of “Glee.” According to a Feb. 12 “Eonline” report, the 2014 People’s Choice picks for Best TV Gal Pals will “deal with the fact that Santana will snag the role of Rachel's understudy in ‘Funny Girl.’” Will Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana’s (Naya Rivera) budding friendship be jeopardized in the name of show business? The episode title, "Frenemies" suggests that it just might.
Ever-the-perfectionists, there is probably no such thing as a “friendly” competition that pits Rachel and Santana against each other. They’re both divas in their own way. They’re both highly talented and seem to thrive in the spotlight.
These girls were finally making nice, though, after years of cutting remarks between them. While a rift will heighten the drama, it will be sad to see old wounds get reopened in a new and different way.
Who will make the best Fanny Brice in the end? This is unequivocally Rachel’s role of a lifetime and frankly, we’d like to see her hit the stage in all her glory …
A Rachel/Santana rift is just one of many plot turns as the show makes its transition from McKinley and Lima to an all NYC show. Some Lima characters will graduate and others will make the move to New York.
Blaine (Darren Criss) will most likely make the Big Apple move due to his engagement with Kurt (Chris Colfer). Will we see a “Glee” wedding at the end of the season six series finale? Only series co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are privy to the overall endgame vision for the beloved musical comedy series.
Married or not, the Klaine romance continues to be a huge onscreen inspiration to thousands of fans who applaud “Glee” for boldly featuring a same sex teen couple who is very much in love.
Fans will also be treated to the return of their old favorites for “Glee’s” 100th episode like Dianna Agron as Quinn, Heather Morris as Brittany, Gwyneth Paltrow as the hottest sub in town, Holly Holliday and Kristin Chenoweth as ultra-bubbly April Rhodes.
The “Glee” class reunion of sorts is slated to air on March 18 in a two-part installment.
“Glee” returns to Flint on WSMH FOX66 on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 8 pm ET.
