As season three of "Glee" continues, we will finally be getting a slew of new guest stars. Lea Michele confirmed on Monday that four big names would be signing on for roles in 2012. Yesterday, photos evidence from the set points to a rather unlikely celebrity to join the cast for the January 17 episode.
As seen here, NeNe Leaks was on location with the "Glee" cast as they shot scenes at Venice high school on Tuesday. Filming a remake of a famous scene from "Grease," the cast spent the day filming at this iconic location.
Twitter was immediately buzzing about the likelihood that NeNe will be playing the role of Mercedes' mother. But one source claims that she will instead be cast as the new synchronized swimming coach, Roz Washington.
While this is a possibility, it certainly stands in contrast to what casting directors were originally looking for in this role. As reported here earlier this month, the part was created for a "well-known comedic character actress in her 30s or 40s."
Do you think NeNe would be a good addition to "Glee" this season? Her spot on the show has yet to be confirmed, but NeNe did send out a tweet about working with "good people" after her visit to the set yesterday.
