“Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy gave Klaine and Finchel fans some happy news on Jan. 9 via Twitter by revealing that Kurt (Chris Colfer) will take Blaine (Darren Criss) as his date to Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma’s (Jayma Mays) wedding, where they sing a duet and lock lips in a car.
Murphy said, “Kurt is not bringing Adam to the wedding. His date is Blaine. They sing a duet for Emma. And make out in a steamy car. Ur welcome.”
Can we get a collective “Hallelujah!?”
It makes sense, then, that will and Emma follow through with their wedding. As for the other two fan favorite couples who split, Finchel and Brittana, Murphy urges Gleeks not to give up on them, saying:
“Never give up on Finchel. Never give up on Klaine. Never give up on Brittana. Never give up on Wemma. Happy endings.”
He also revealed two couples will be back together by Valentine’s Day and one might be preggers. Could this be Wemma?
When we left things in the “Glee, Actually” episode, Burt brought Blaine to New York as a Christmas surprise. While it was clear Blaine is still head over heels for Kurt, Kurt was more reserved during their time together. Plus, Blaine told them both he’s thinking of applying to NYADA after graduation and once again, Kurt didn’t seem overjoyed.
We have to remember Kurt is starting NYADA after nailing his surprise audition, and a new guy, Adam (that Murphy refers to); will be the head of NYADA’s glee club and a new love interest for Kurt. This will definitely shake up the possibility of an immediate Klaine reunion. However, Kurt and Blaine share a deep bond. They lost their virginity to each other. It’s impossible to just shut off all of your feelings for your first love.
Will their make out session remind them of what they mean to each other and bring them back together? Or, will they write it off as a heated moment at a romantic occasion?
As for Finchel, they’ve shared some great conversations recently, despite Finn’s (Cory Monteith) no contact rule. But, like Adam (Oliver Kieran-Jones) for Kurt, Brody (Dean Geyer) is waiting in the wings at NYADA for Rachel (Rachel). Since she’s currently free and she spontaneously kissed him before the Winter Showcase, it seems probable things will heat up for this pair in the near future.
“Glee” returns on Jan. 24 with the all-new episode, “Sadie Hawkins.”
According to the episode summary posted by BuddyTV, “McKinley’s Sadie Hawkins dance offers several gleeks a rare chance to feel empowered. Sam and Blaine investigate a possible cheating scandal at Sectionals.”
Hmm … a Sectionals scandal could lead to a reversal on the New Directions loss and a trip to Regionals. This also seems likely, according to BuddyTV’s Episode 12, “Naked” (airing Jan. 31) synopsis that reads:
"New Directions produces a sexy calendar to raise money for their trip to Regionals. Rachel is faced with a personal dilemma when she’s cast in a student film.”
We’ve only got two more weeks till “Glee” returns and we see how things play out. What do you think? Which couples will be reunited by Valentine’s Day? Who might be “preggers?” Feel free to drop your comments below!
“Glee” returns Jan. 24 on WSMH FOX66 in Flint at 9 p.m. EST.
