His charming smile makes the school girls and faculty swoon on FOX's hit TV show Glee, but Glee club director "Will Schuester", played by Matthew Morrison, is really nervous and fearful off-screen.
"I'm still kind of a loner," he admits to PARADE magazine this week. "Even the sports I'm into - running and cycling - are the kind I do myself," says the 31-year-old musical man.
Even though his Glee character exudes confidence on the show, Morrison told PARADE, the confidence is a falsity.
"It's a front!" he says. "Some performers say it's so easy, so natural, but I think that's bull." Adding, "I still get nervous but fear is one of the great things that motivates me to be the best I can be."
The good news for the laides is Morrison takes care of himself with an active lifestyle and he's single.
"I like to throw my bike in the back of my truck, drive out to Malibu, and then bicycle along the Pacific Coast Highway," he says. "It gives me a chance to be alone with my thoughts."
