Emmy-award winner Jane Lynch was one of the first winners to take the stage on Sunday night. She thanked her agent, Glee writer Ryan Murphy and her wife Laura.
The 50-year-old Dolton, Illinois native was nominated and chosen as best for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in "Glee" as "Sue Sylvester".
"Thank you so much, this is outlandish," Lynch said after accepting her statue. "My god, my heart is pounding, I have nine seconds." She added, "And I thank my daughter Hayden and my wife Laura."
Lynch is openly lesbian and married to wife Dr. Lara Embry. The two were wed this year on Memorial Day at the Blue Heron Restaurant in Massachusetts. Lynch's popularity soared on "Glee" when she performed her rendition to Madonna's hit song "Vogue", despite criticism from the pop queen.

Why do you guys carry on with such lies - when they are so unnecessary?! Madonna did not criticise it at all, she came out on record praising it! More crap "sources". It's so boring. YOU'RE so boring.
