Next season on "Glee", we can expect to see a little bit more drama courtesy of Filipino pop star Charice. According to a new report from Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, the 18-year old sensation -- who supporter her troubled family by singing early in life -- has now signed on to appear as a foreign exchange student with a voice to rival Lea Michele's Rachel Berry. Of course, you can expect for things to get dramatic to the upteenth degree.

For many people, Charice was first introduced during a segment on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in which we also saw fellow pop sensation Justin Bieber perform. There have been rumors linking Justin to "Glee", but nothing has been confirmed in the least.

Do you think that Charice will be a good fit for "Glee", or do you think the show should cast more unknowns for lead roles? Feel free to share your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest TV news. To view "Glee" photos, follow the link here.

We dont watch Glee, we love this girl Charice with amazing voice. We'll be watching this show now so we can see Charice sings all the time.

Charice is an amazing singer but I really don't think she is suited for glee. I am a huge fan of glee and not loving this new casting choice. Sure I admit she is a very talented singer but am I the only one who thinks she is just too proffesional for glee. It's not that I don't like her voice I just think she is too good.

I am Filipino, and I respect Charice's talent. However, I am quite disappointed that she will be on Glee. I am a huge fan of Glee, but I don't think that Charice has Glee potential.

Well it's show business guys. It's not about she's too professional or she's too good. The producers think she can make Glee's viewership even wider and more global. She has already substantial supporters in Asia and Europe and gaining more here in North America. So she's a big boost to the show production wise (quality singing) and financially too in the next season. That's the bottom line. Glee will even become bigger with her around.

To Pinay... I wonder who you really are. Are you truly a Pinay (=a woman Filipino)? or some kind of an impostor lurking the web spreading negative publicity. Not a Glee material?... i wonder what you mean by that? Please enlighten us with your insight. We might be better convinced if you elaborate in a greater fashion. Please dont' leave comments unsubstantiated. Do you mean she's not pretty enough to be in the show? She can't act...she can't sing... i wonder where that comment is coming from... so many haters in this world.. that's why Charice should be singing Note to God more often.. so all the hate will be swept away for love to overflow...

she's good but i think she is not fit for glee..more exposures for charice? it's good but she's not for glee

Why is this site not getting more articulate commentators. When you say she's not fit...what do you really mean by it? People want to know your views so pls. dont leave your sentences hanging. Or else it's pointless and waste of space.

To whoever owns this site, there are more flattering pictures of Charice to choose from. Why this one? To create some sort of drama? I wonder.

well, im a huge fan of charice and also a huge fan of glee. yea i know that charice is a good singer but she doesn't fit for glee. i respect her ability to sing but she just know how to sing but doesn't know how to act. well in the coming season two of glee im not sure if that will be a success. dont be angry i'm a filipina but its only my opinion :)

well if acting is the only concern... i think that's nothing... she has acted before in the Philippines, she has a very deep well in her emotions to draw from, she has improved in her enunciation and speaking American english... she's a laser beam and very high learning curve. if you're a great singer there is a big likelihood that you could act well coz you need the same psyche ... i believe that she would not be bad at the very least...and i think we should reserve the acting part after we have seen the show... Charice always amazes everyone with her talents.. this acting is a new dimension of her that has not been exposed to the world, so just hang on and enjoy the ride... it is not fair to say that she cannot act ..have you seen her act in an American show?.. give her a chance but don't pre-judge.. Charice has been in this kind of situation..people say she's not pretty, jologs, cannot act...etc.. but she always prove them wrong...

Let's give Charice a chance to prove her worth. Good luck Charice.
