A new dessert addiction has just landed in Denver - the delicate delectable baum cake. Glaze, the Baum Cake shoppe recently opened it's doors in Congress Park. What is a baum cake? Resembling a tree trunk, the cake ring is made with up to 20 super thin layers, finished off with a drizzle of sweet glaze.
The menu offers a variety of cake flavors, including the Original Baum, Chocolate Baum, Matcha Green Tea Baum (imported from Japan) and the MountBaum (crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, drizzled with a Cointreau glaze - yum!). You can customize your own cakes for special occasions, send a gift baskets to your favorite people or bring home Baum Bites for a bit of a smaller treat.
When you stop by the new neighborhood shoppe, you can say thank you to the lady behind the treat, Heather Alcott. You can also check out the secret of the Baum Cake or read it on their website here.
