Glaring Spotlight from 'Gatecrash' revealed (Photos)

Glaring Spotlight is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled today Jan. 15, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set "Gatecrash." Revealed on the Facebook fan page of StarCityGames.com, Glaring Spotlight hoses Hexproof creatures.

Glaring Spotlight - 1
Artifact (Rare)
Creatures you opponents control with hexproof can be the targets of spells and abilities you control as though they didn't have hexproof.
3, Sacrifice Glaring Spotlight: Creatures you control gain hexproof until end of turn and are unblockable this turn.

If you hate Hexproof creatures like Sigarda, Host of Herons or Thrun, the Last Troll then Glaring Spotlight is the card for you, allowing you to finally cast a Pillar of Flame on that Geist of Saint Traft.

With Invisible Stalker set to be encoded by Cipher spells like Undercity Plague and Stolen Identity, Glaring Spotlight may become a very relevant sideboard card.

Glaring Spotlight can be more than just a sideboard card because it also clears the way for your alpha-strike by making all your creatures unblockable. Likewise, it can also save them from being Murdered by an Ultimate Price, Dreadbore, or Abrupt Decay by giving them Hexproof.

With a casting cost of one, Glaring Spotlight makes a great silver bullet in Trinket Mage decks.

How will you use Glaring Spotlight?
