Gladiators to assist with Thrashers prospect Camp

Gwinnett Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle along with Chicago Wolves assistant coach Ron Wilson will conduct the on-ice sessions at the Atlanta Thrashers Prospect Development Camp from July 8th through 13th at the Duluth Ice Forum.

Pyle last assisted with the Thrashers Prospect Camp in 2007. He also served as the Head Coach for the Thrashers Prospects at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament in 2006. In addition, Pyle has also assisted with Thrashers Training Camp in September over the past seven seasons.

The camp will feature 29 players including Thrashers prospects Alex Burmistrov (2010, 1st Rd., 8th Over.), Patrice Cormier (2008, 2nd Rd., 54th Over. by New Jersey), Carl Klingberg (2009, 2nd Rd., 34th Over.), Daultan Leveille (2008, 1st Rd., 29th Over.) and Paul Postma (2007, 7th Rd., 205th Over.)

Former Gladiator Michael Forney is also scheduled to attend the camp. The Thief River Falls, Minnesota, native had 26 points (11g, 15a) in 63 games with Gwinnett last year. He also skated in 3 games with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League last season.

There will be three four-on-four scrimmages throughout the week that will take place on Sat., July 10, Sun., July 11, and Tues., July 13, with each scrimmage beginning at 4 p.m. All on-ice activity throughout the camp is free and open to the public.
