The Gwinnett Gladiators have just six games remaining in the 2013-14 season, four of which will be against the Greenville Road Warriors. The I-85 rivals will play a home-and-home weekend set, beginning with Friday’s game in Greenville.
Gwinnett (26-35-3-2/57 points) has dropped seven of the nine games they have played against Greenville (36-22-2-3/77 points) this season, including the most recent on March 13 when the Warriors doubled up the Glads by a 4-2 count.
The club’s then meet on Saturday night at The Arena at Gwinnett Center for the first of Gwinnett’s final four home games.
Gladiators reaching milestones: With an assist Sunday in Toledo, Mike Merrifield picked up the 50th point of his pro career … Defenseman Art Bidlevskii played in his 100th game as a professional on Wednesday at Reading … Casey Pierro-Zabotel racked up his 250th point as a pro with a goal Monday in Elmira … Brenden Walker played in his 50th game as a pro Sunday in Toledo … Marshall Everson’s next game will be his 50th as a pro.
The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
