The Gwinnett Gladiators have just six games remaining in the 2013-14 season, four of which will be against the Greenville Road Warriors. The I-85 rivals will play a home-and-home weekend set, beginning with Friday’s game in Greenville.
Gwinnett (26-35-3-2/57 points) has dropped seven of the nine games they have played against Greenville (36-22-2-3/77 points) this season, including the most recent on Mar. 13 when the Warriors doubled up the Glads by a 4-2 count.
The club’s then meet on Saturday night at The Arena at Gwinnett Center for the first of Gwinnett’s final four home games.
However the Gwinnett Gladiators do have some milestones to celebrate: With an assist Sunday in Toledo, Mike Merrifield picked up the 50th point of his pro career … Defenseman Art Bidlevskii played in his 100th game as a professional on Wednesday at Reading … Casey Pierro-Zabotel racked up his 250th point as a pro with a goal Monday in Elmira … Brenden Walker played in his 50th game as a pro Sunday in Toledo … Marshall Everson’s next game will be his 50th as a pro.
The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, Ga..
