GLAAD's OUTAuction 2011

Last Sunday night, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) hosted it’s 10th OUTAuction at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, NY. The event featured GLAAD’s top 100 established and emerging artists including Henri Matisse, Jordan Eagles, and Gavin Bond. Kimberly Locke also performed her latest hits.

There were a number of male and female nudes among the works available for auction. Kelsey Shwetz’s “Male Nude” chills by a bookcase, Zachori Logan’s “Untitled (from Blue Boy Series) drawing is oblivious to the world, and MJ Milller’s print, “Bleach” cleans up and sparkles.

Some of other highlights included “First Nation,” by Melanie Daniel, an oil painting of happy deer antlers on a wall, Itzik Lluz’s “Intimacy,” an engaging light sculpture, and Travis Williams’ print, “Magenta and Green,” an exit from a colorful world.

Check out GLAAD’s website for more details, including a full color catalog of the art from the event.
