Over the last year I have gotten involved with many charitable organizations. Volunteering in the Rotary Club, Assistance League and becoming an Angel for Casa Pacifica. That organization houses children from the ages of newborn to 17 who are taken from there homes because they have been abused by their parents, their parents are addicts or they have seen their parent shoot another parent..
In researching what I would write for this end of 2013 article I went to Green Living on Huffington Post.
The article that came up under that for this season was about an organization called Meals On Wheels. They provide food all year around for disabled and basically folks that cannot leave their homes. What the article spoke about was feeding these people's pets.
Oftentimes, the stay at homes feed their pets without eating themselves.
What Meals on Wheels makes sure of is that not only does the person eat but so does their pets.
Pets sometimes are the only living entity that they see or relate to for weeks on end.
Huffington post followed Meals on Wheels volunteers and acknowledged their commitment to bringing food to the needy and their animals.
I believe over this holiday period there is no better way to go Green than to live by sharing.
May you and your loved be safe and have a wonderful New Year.
As always keep our environment safe.
