“But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” James 1:25

There are circumstances such as war that cause people from other nations to leave. He or she leave to escape the dangers of that circumstance. They are seeking a place of rest and security. The place will give them freedom. Freedom is a sacred word. It is not taken for granted or used loosely. The place of freedom promises peace from anxiety and fear. It is release from stress on the mind, body, and spirit. It is sought vigorously until it is obtained.

God promises peace to those who seek Him. The person must keep their mind focused on Him. Fear and anxiety will seek to dominate and control. Their purpose is to steal the peace of God. Freedom is obtained by believing in Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Believers express their freedom by following the law of Christ. This law is walking out faith in the Holy Spirit and producing the fruits such as love, joy, and peace. These are manifested by showing the character of God and by avoiding sinful desires of the flesh.

Believers have the freedom to love enemies and pray for them. They have the freedom to say no to sexual and other temptations. Believers rely on the Holy Spirit to respond in Godly ways. Kindness and goodness are fruit that is exhibited. They may face fearful situations, but they turn to God, receiving peace. They walk in self control to restrain their words and actions. They are blessed for hearing and obeying the Word of God. They find a place of rest and security that is found only in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
