It's been pretty cold here in Toronto, and I bet your pets are feeling it too! It can be hard to get them the proper exercise they need in the winter months. - 1 1/2 cups oat flour
- 2 1/2 cups quinoa flour
- 3/4 cup flax meal
- 1/2 cup frozen, organic, unsweetened blueberries
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients, wet and dry, in a large bowl and add 1 cup of water to make a dough. Roll it out until it's about 1/4 of an inch thick - you can go thicker or thinner depending upon your preferences. Cut out biscuits using a small cookie cutter in your preferred shape (bones are cute for dog treats) and lay them out on the baking sheet, leaving at least an inch of space between them. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until they're golden brown. Store them on your oven's top wire rack overnight and then keep them in an airtight container.
