For those who decide to spend Christmas in Las Vegas this year, don't worry about missing out on a traditional holiday dinner. Several of the restaurants on the Strip are offering special Christmas menus for lunch and dinner, with both comforting holiday favorites as well as innovative and contemporary dishes.
Some of Wolfgang Puck’s Las Vegas restaurants will offer special menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Spago at the Forum Chops at Caesars will have special menu items for lunch and dinner on Christmas Day, including Slow Roasted Maple Glaze Ham and Egg Nog Crème Brulee for lunch and Maine Lobster Pot Pie for dinner. Trattoria del Lupo at Mandalay Bay will deliver several classic holiday favorites on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, such as Roasted Leg of Lamb and Egg Nog Pudding. Over at Postrio Bar & Grill inside The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, enjoy a $49 three-course Prix Fixe menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which includes Puree of Chestnut Soup or Veal Osso Bucco. And Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand will have a $55 three-course Prix Fixe menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, where guests can enjoy Roasted Cauliflower Soup, Goat Cheese Stuffed Free-Range Chicken Breast and Chocolate and Chestnut Buche de Noel with eggnog ice cream for dessert. Dos Caminos Mexican Kitchen at The Palazzo will celebrate Christmas with spicy specials in addition to the popular modern Mexican menu. Choices for starters include Baccalao Croquettas and Ensalas de Noche Buena and entrees options include Lobster and Shrimp Mixiotes and Piloncillo Glazed Ham. And don’t forget about the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake for dessert. Dos Caminos will open at 2pm on Christmas and reservations can be made by calling (702) 577-9600.
Several of the other restaurants at The Palazzo and its sister property, The Venetian, will offer special Christmas menus, including Dal Toro Ristorante, Delmonico Steakhouse, Morels, Valentino, Zeffirino, Table 10 and Zine. Go online for additional information.
Society Café at Encore will also offer a special tasting menu on Christmas for $36 per person. Items, which can also be purchased a la carte, include Creamy Sweet Onion Soup with Crisp Pancetta and Gruyere Crouton, Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Au Jus, Yukon Mashed Potato and Winter Vegetables, and White Chocolate Bomb with Dark Chocolate Sauce and Peppermint Cream. Chef Kerry Simon has designed a special Christmas menu for his restaurant Simon at Palms Place. The Christmas Day spread costs $48 and will be available from 12 noon to 7pm. Guests can start with a trio of shared bites consisting of dungeness crab deviled eggs, pigs in a blanket, rosemary roasted nuts and potato croquettes with smoked salmon and crème fraiche. There will also be different stations with salads, appetizers, soups, carvings with sides, and seasonal desserts, including chocolate peppermint cheesecake, pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie, caramel apple donuts, traditional apple pie, apple tart tartin and butterscotch pudding cups. Donald Trump's signature restaurant, DJT, at Trump International Hotel Las Vegas lets you indulge in winter flavors with a three-course menu on Christmas Day for $50 per person. Items include Chestnut and Butternut Squash Soup, Prime Rib or Grilled Shrimp Brochette, Truffled Potato Puree with Brussels sprouts, bacon and pearl onions, and for dessert, Chocolate or Raspberry Yule Log.
