"Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member's Teresa and Joe Giudice's plea bargain offer was rejected by prosecutors on Wednesday, August 14 just before court according to Radar Online reports on Thursday, August 15.
The plea deal offer that was denied was in hopes that Teresa Giudice wouldn't have to serve any jail time in the near future.
Sources close to the "Giudice" reality television couple's legal situation stated:
“Teresa and Joe’s defense team submitted a plea deal on Wednesday but the US Attorney denied it.
“Teresa wanted a plea deal that keeps her out of jail so she offered to do anything else BUT jail time and have Joe serve all of the time in jail. The prosecutor dismissed the deal outright.”
Joe and Teresa Giudice have been indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax evasion. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast members, if found guilty are now facing 50-years in prison, despite Teresa's attempts to bargain her way out of the legal situation.
“The prosecutor has said that if she wants to plead it out she has to do jail time,” the source added.
“They believe that the evidence will show that Teresa can’t play dumb. She was in cahoots with Joe and was just as much a part of orchestrating the scam as he was.”
The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple have four children, who all live at home, and they are scampering to make arrangements for their family should they both be taken directly to prison following their upcoming trial that the prosecutors are pushing to start sometime in October.
The prosecutors want to see both Joe and Teresa behind bars for their alleged crimes, and believe they can prove that Teresa Giudice was as equally involved in the fraud crimes as her husband Joe.
What do you predict will happen for the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple Teresa and Joe Giudice will they both be sent to prison leaving their four small children parentless?
