As reported by ecorazzi.com on Jan. 29 and PEOPLE magazine on Jan. 28, supermodel Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady of the New England Patriots are ready to move into their 22,000 square foot home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. The lavish estate is worth more than $20 million and took over three years to complete.
With eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a wine cellar and a state-of-the-art gym, Gisele told PEOPLE that the home's main energy source was solar power and
will also have eco-friendly water supply and heating and cooling systems. And we are planting our own herbs, fruits and vegetables, which will be my favorite part of the house.
Outside features of the estate include a moat, a resort-style swimming pool, a custom play area complete with castle for the couple's two children and Brady's child from a previous relationship and the aforementioned garden area.
Although the couple boasts about the environmentally-friendly features of the home, Ali Berman of ecorazzi isn't so thrilled with the Brady's new abode, stating,
From an environmental standpoint, unless the couple is planning on housing all of Brady’s teammates from the Patriots, the house is arguably a monstrosity.
What do you think? Is the mansion over the top or do you believe if you've got the cash, you can live how you choose?
