The Kardashian family’s 2013 Christmas card is missing something. As in, almost every male family member. In what is one of the most unusual cards from the famous clan, this year’s photo features all of the female family members and only two of the boys: Family patriarch Bruce Jenner and Khloe Kardashian’s son, Mason.
On December 2, E! Online previewed the pic, which showcases Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Bruce Jenner as they strike high fashion themed poses in a carnival-themed room.
Jenner’s iconic Wheaties box is in the background, as are various family photos, but noticeably missing from the photo is Kim Kardashian’s fiance Kanye West and their baby girl, North West. Also missing from the pic: Rob Kardashian, Kourtney's boyfriend Scott Disick and Khloe's husband Lamar Odom.
Renowned photographer David LaChappelle shot the 2013 photo, which had matriarch Kris Jenner telling E!: "I loved working with David LaChapelle. It was amazing and it was so much fun!"
But this card is very different from past Kardashian cards. In 2012, the entire clan donned white for a winter wonderland themed photo, and in 2011 it was a black tie photo shoot that came in a 3-D version. In 2009, pal Ryan Seacrest even made a cameo on the family greeting card. This year, the only adult male in the pic is encased in a glass booth.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians: A Very Merry Christmas” airs tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on E!.
