It is the hope of many girls in the world to feel free, safe, and to be treated as equal to boys in issues facing them in their daily lives. Freedom does not mean behaving against one’s values or beliefs. It means freedom of choice in values and beliefs, expression and speech indoors and outdoors, and freedom of choice for one’s life partner.
For ensuring the safety of a girl’s body, some girls do not need to sell their bodies to earn money by prostitution, pornography, or performing certain jobs that require revealing body parts, for example, dancing. To be considered truly free, girls should be able to find real equal opportunity in employment, all types of education, and protection from racial prejudice.
If there is true freedom, all women would be allowed to cover their hair in any place if they wish, including courts and departments of motor vehicle. Women would always be allowed to dress according to her religious dress requirements if they so choose. Women would be allowed to practice meditation during their break times if they choose. True practice of freedom would encourage every group to celebrate their own religious feasts among other feasts that are recognized, and they would not be pushed to celebrate only in the feasts of others.
To be safe, girls should not restrict their feet with high-heel shoes and to damage their facial skin by daily make-up. To be safe, a girl should not fall into the illusion of loving a random boyfriend, who wastes her time without making any commitments to her or having any rights in a relationship such as by marriage. A girl should not be pushed to love a boyfriend who deceives and leaves her, possibly with a helpless innocent baby, for another victim at the first opportunity he gets. To be safe, girls should not accept that performing plastic surgeries and getting tattoos and large amounts of piercings to change her beautiful nature is the way they were intended to live and accept.
To be truly free, women are supposed to be allowed to take flexible work times at their jobs, because they have more responsibilities towards their families.
To be truly free, women should be protected in their own families from the domineering acts of men. It is everywoman’s dream to be treated as an equal to her spouse and for her opinions to be respected.
To be truly safe, girls and women should be protected from sexual harassment, physical and sexual abuse, and teen pregnancy.
To be truly free, women should not be barred from taking custody of her children and being restricted from seeing them. To be truly free, women should not have to put their kids up for adoption because they have no money to raise them and they are prevented from seeing them.
True believers know that God honors safety and justice to girls and women. If they feel free, safe and treated in a just manner at different situations of life; their behavior will be more caring towards their families and more constructive towards their communities.
