Any naysayer who's ever suggested that girls can't rock as hard as guys can have never seen Lita Ford in concert.
Ford, the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, who got her start in the 1970's with The Runaways, has proven that she's a force to be reckoned with since breaking out on her own. Her 1980's hit "Kiss Me Deadly" is still a well-loved favorite among rockers. And aside from a several-year hiatus from the rock scene when Ford moved to a tropical island and raised her two sons, she's still at it - shredding on her guitar and kicking butt, much to the delight of metal-heads.
Currently burning up the rock and roll highway, Ford will be making a couple stops in the Chicago-area this summer - the first on Friday, June 20 at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill in Bollingbrook. Click here for tickets.
Then on Friday, September 12, come see Ford in St. Charles at the Arcada Theater for a night featuring the goddesses of metal. Joining Ford will be Vixen and the teenage, all-girl rock band hailing from Chicago, Bloody Mary.
This is one show you do not want to miss so plan early! Click here for ticket information.
