Girl not Madeleine McCann. Authorities in New Zealand have confirmed a young girl is not Madeleine McCann. A report at The Houston Chronicle says "DNA tests have confirmed a New Zealand girl is not missing British youngster."

Wellington New Zealand residents have reported seeing Madeleine McCann twice; once last march, and the second time on New Years Eve. The mistaken identity involving this little girl led to New Zealand police sending her DNA samples to Scotland Yard to determine if the little girl is McCann. Results show she is not.

Madeleine McCann went missing six years ago while on a family vacation in Portugal when she was three years old. False sightings have been reported from all around the globe, but Portuguese police closed the case in 2008.

The family of the New Zealand girl have asked for all other information about their child and family be kept private.
