“Boy Meets World” was part of a fantastic block of television on Friday nights called "TGIF." Many of the 30-somethings in the world will probably recall watching at least one episode of the show, if not the entire series. Months ago news broke that “Girl Meets World” was in the works. Fans were excited, especially at the prospect of seeing Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) back on the small screen. According to an April 1 report from People, the entire cast has been completed. The show will center around the Matthews family and their daughter's friends.
“Girl Meets World” will pick up more than a decade after “Boy Meets World” left off. Cory and Topanga are married with two children, a daughter in middle school and a younger son. Riley Matthews will be played by Rowan Blanchard and Auggie Matthews will be played by August Maturo. The series is slated to be quite similar to what fans got with “Boy Meets World,” but different enough to distinguish between the two.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the series premiere of “Girl Meets World” this summer. The show will air on the Disney Channel, making it appropriate for children of all ages. The network is expecting a wide range of age groups to tune into the show.
