A 12-year-old girl showed up at school with a backpack stuffed full of money to the tune of $20,000 worth of cash. This sixth grader started to give the money away to her friends. When the principle got wind of the suddenly rich little girl, he called the police, according to Fox News live on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
According to ABC News on Wednesday, the girl told police that a friend who lives across the street from her house gave her the money. This sounded a bit sketchy so police confiscated the backpack. They are investigating to find the source of this money. They also said that if someone is missing money, they can come to the police station to claim it. They just want a reasonable explanation as to where this money came from.
Apparently this amount of cash doesn't mean that much to someone who is 12, as the little girl handed out $200 to one friend and $500 to another. When the school kids got wind of the girl's large stash of cash, kids started asking her for money.
