Girl, 6, crashes car in desperate attempt to see dad

A girl, 6, crashed a car after a desperate attempt she made to see her dad, ABC News reports Feb. 4. A Pittsburgh mom was sound asleep when her young daughter decided to take her car keys and drive across town about 9 a.m. Sunday.

On her way to her destination, the 6-year-old hit two parked cars that caused on of them to hit a third before crashed into a power pole. Police said the girl knew how to operate a car and she's reportedly tall for her age.

"How she knew how to operate a car, your guess is as good as mine," Police Sgt. Jerry Parker said.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the car crash. It undoubtedly shook the girl when she managed to hit other vehicles on her way to see her father.

The situation surrounding the reason why the girl would take it upon herself to jump into a car and attempt driving to her dad's is unknown. A number of things push children to do shocking things. This girl apparently has a lot of confidence when it comes to operating an automobile.

The girl's father took her home after the car accident. Law enforcement is still investigating the incident, but it's unclear if anyone will face charges.
