A girl, 6, crashes a car in an effort to see her dad. On Feb. 4, Philly.com reported that the young girl got in her mother's car around 9 a.m. Sunday and attempted to drive it across town so that she could visit her dad. The mother was sleeping when her daughter sneaked out, car keys in hand.
"How she knew how to operate a car, your guess is as good as mine," said Police Sgt. Jerry Parker, who added that she was "tall for her age." The girl hit two parked car, one hitting a third, but no one was hurt.
The girl, 6, crashed the car in to a utility pole, ending her time behind the wheel. It is unknown why she wanted to see her father so badly, but it was reported that he showed up at the scene of the accident and took his daughter home. Details about his whereabouts are unknown.
Many are thankful that no one was injured during this crazy ride. Generally speaking, a 6-year-old doesn't know how to drive a car -- never mind reach the gas pedal, but this little girl was determined. The accident happened in Pittsburgh but other details are sparse.
