The giraffe riddle is taking over Facebook, but why would they call it a giraffe riddle when it really has nothing to do with a giraffe at all, the riddle that is? This might be just too cute for some, but others are finding joining in on the giraffe riddle something to break up the day, according to The Baltimore Sun on Oct. 28.
By now you’ve probably seen a few of your friends throw a giraffe up in their profile picture spot today on Facebook. Those friends are the folks that didn't answer the giraffe riddle correctly. If you don't get the right answer to the riddle then you are instructed to put a picture of a giraffe of your choice where your profile picture is. Then leave it there for three days so everyone can see that you didn't get the riddle.
Here’s the riddle:
"3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors. It's your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?"
Well, this is like one of those SAT questions that are so easy you expect them to have a trick up their sleeve. Of course if you want to give your parents breakfast at 3 a.m., but not many would, the first thing you open in the door. Some are saying your eyes because you just woke up out of a sound sleep to feed these people!
Still some today are analyzing the heck out of this one and suggest that the first thing they would open is the phone book to look for the nearest 24 psychiatric help they can find. If your parents showed up at that hour in the morning wanting breakfast, then they are not playing with a full deck! Maybe you could open your phone book or the computer and start looking for a nursing home for your folks, clearly they need some looking after!
One of the favorite answers so far is the bottle of wine. If your parents are about to come in for a 3 a.m. breakfast, wine for you would be a good start!
