Are you seeing giraffes of all kinds; baby ones, big ones, cartoon ones all over your Facebook feed instead of your friends photo?
That is because there is a new game that has taken Facebook over and it is making everyone put a giraffe as their profile picture and also making them question their intelligence.
It all reportedly started by Andrew Strugnell, a New Zealand blogger, watch his video I posted.
The game is actually a riddle you post and ask you your friends to message you the answer, if they are right you post it in the comments and they leave their picture the same and they think they are extremely intelligent.
If they get it wrong, well they have to change their picture to a giraffe for three days and they wonder how they could get something so simple, wrong.
Here is the riddle and what you post for your friends;
I've changed my profile to a giraffe. I tried to answer a riddle and got it wrong. Try the great giraffe challenge!
The deal is I give you a riddle. You get it right you get to keep your profile pic. You get it wrong and you change your profile pic to a Giraffe for the next 3 days. MESSAGE ME ONLY SO YOU DONT GIVE OUT THE ANSWER.
Here is the riddle: 3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors, It's your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?
Remember... message me only. If you get it right I'll post your name here. If you get it wrong change your profile pic.
Many people think it is fun and laugh at the fact that they got it wrong, or curse themselves for not getting it. Others, they revel in the glory that they got something so simple right and laugh at the amount of giraffe pictures they are seeing from heir friends, coworkers, even parents.
Facebook has had many games go viral, especially when one is trying to bring awareness to things, like the color of your bra game, where women just post a color and that is it on their page and it is supposed to bring awareness to breast cancer support.
There was also the one where you change your picture to your favorite cartoon character, and that was reportedly to help stop child abuse.
This one is not for awareness of any kind, just for laughs.
Some think it is dumb, some think it is fun, some just choose not to play because they are afraid to get it wrong.
Either way, it is all over Facebook and has been for the past few days and will surely go on for a while.
So, if you have not already played the game, go ahead, and yes, of course you can google the answer, but that is no fun and no one likes a cheater.
Also, think about it before you jump to answer it so fast, picture yourself doing what the riddle says in real life, and then go from there.
It IS really easy, I got it right.
