Mario Vergani, master tailor for Giorgio Armani, will be at Butch Blum in downtown Seattle on Wednesday conducting personal fittings for selections from the label's Misura Fatto a Mano collection.

Launched in 2006, the line was seen as a move to take on Savile Row's position as the traditional home of men's tailoring, which Armani described to the UK's Times Online as a "bad English comedy."

In addition to receiving made-to-measure treatment by Vergani, customers will have the option of selecting from the finest fabrics Armani has to offer, as well as the silhouette, lapel, vents, pockets, trouser pleats, buttons and lining. It has been reported that the label of each suit will be signed by Armani and also bear the customer's name. The suits will be hand made at Armani's Milan headquarters.

In addition to suits, the collection includes casual pants and jackets, sport coats, overcoats and dress shirts.

Prices, as mentioned in a 2006 Time magazine article, range from $2,500 to $10,000, though the Times Online mentioned a range starting at £5,000 and rising to £30,000, which at the current exchange rate translates to a range of just under $7,500 to just shy of $45,000.
