Giorgio Armani Prive showed their haute couture collection for spring/summer 2012 at Mode a Paris today (Paris Fashion Week) and the collection offered a surprisingly autumnal color palette and elegant, thin clutches and shoulder bags. The overall Giorgio Armani Prive collection offered vintage elegance with modern fabrications and twists; giving the fashion world something new and exciting to see.
Giorgio Armani Prive’s spring/summer 2012 collection offered iridescent shades of green, citrus and lemon-lime. The sharp colors walked a thin line between late summer hues and traditional fall shades. There were splashes of elegant black and light grey mixed in with metallic shimmers and silver fabrics. The accessories were small and understated; what we would expect from Giorgio Armani.
Giorgio Armani Prive’s handbag collection was equally understated and hard to spot on the runway. The evening clutches were thin and many were made from the same fabrication as the apparel on the catwalk. The tonal appearance of the handbags allowed them to blend into the ensembles rather than stand alone and make a separate statement.
In addition to evening clutches, Giorgio Armani Prive offered extremely thin shoulder bags with shorter straps. The shoulder bags were also made from fabrications which blended rather than stood out, from the apparel on the runway.
