Italian designer Giorgio Armani debuted his Menswear Autumn/Winter 2013 collection in a fashion show presented for Milan Fashion Week on January 15, 2013 in Milan, Italy.
For once, the Armani suit didn’t seem to be the focus on an Armani collection as greater importance is given to treating jackets and trousers as separates, teamed with sweaters and button-down shirts and well-coordinated but mix-and-match ensembles.
A well-rendered burgundy velvet jacket was teamed with a patterned grey shirt, grey slacks, black tie, burgundy overnighter and burgundy loafers. Burgundy velvet trousers were teamed with colorful sweaters. The autumnal mood was captured perfectly!
Stylish patterned knits were teamed with textured dress jackets. Leather gloves, leather oxfords and overnighter bags accessorized the polished ensembles. Armani’s sunglasses are pretty sexy as well…
Giorgio Armani offers several textured leather jackets in a variety of styles including a crocodile finish, a slightly distressed black leather hip-length jacket, which were teamed with black velvet pants, black leather shoes and matching overnighter bag. Another black leather jacket, cut like an asymmetric moto jacket, is quilted.
A chunky olive-toned fur collar is added to a short dark brown winter coat. The same fur appears as a lining in a full-length grey winter coat and as a hip-length fur jacket.
An oxblood-toned velvety coat with an unusual zippered and buttoned closure flap ads drama to this Fall 2013 collection.
More casual ensembles included chunky chevron-patterned sweaters in grey and navy, teamed with black trousers and black lens aviator sunglasses.
The burgundy velvet pieces in the Giorgio Armani Menswear AW2013 collection are a personal favorite. And the Armani suits aren’t all that bad either…
