A designer who stands for sophistication in dress is Italy's own Giorgio Armani. Throughout the years, his fashions have been innovative and timeless with a chic appeal to the international woman. He has expanded from menswear and womenswear to accessories, swimwear, eyeglasses, cosmetics and home collections.
Recently at Milan Fall 2013 Fashion Week, Armani gave us plenty of velvets, sequins and dark tones signifying the Fall/Winter season is upon us. Floor-length skirts with off-the-shoulder tops along with exaggerated bows, lots of lace and ruffles flatter the femininity of the woman. Sequined vests were lavish looking. Beret-type caps accessorized almost every outfit and elbow-length gloves were seen with the more formal of pieces. Suits were clean and tailored proving that simple is very smart-looking. Coats came in all lengths and textures. From the wide-legged pant to the long pencil skirt and silk white top, Giorgio Armani knows what looks best on the woman and his models flaunt it on the runway.
Proof is in the pieces that dark does not always have to mean dreary. This was a gorgeous collection that proved once again why Giorgio Armani is one of the world's favorite designers.
