In 61 games in the 2011-12 season according to www.tsn.ca, Giordano had nine goals and 18 assists. If Giordano had been healthy the entire season like he had the year before when he put up 43 points in 82 games, from a projection standpoint, Giordano would have recorded a career high of 12 goals and 24 assists.
From a fantasy perspective, Giordano should be ranked 13th heading into the season, between Kevin Shattenkirk of the Saint Louis Blues and Keith Yandle of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Another Flame that makes the top 25 is Dennis Wideman, who should be projected at 21st. Wideman came to the Flames in the offseason as a free agent from the Washington Capitals and general manager Jay Feaster signed him to a five year deal worth $26.25 million. Last season Wideman had 11 goals and 35 assists.
