Days after winning the Falmouth Stakes, Giofra will skip the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. The Alain de Royer Dupre- filly could instead showcase her horse racing skills at the one-mile Prix Jacques Le Marois meeting in August.

At Falmouth, the five-year-old French challenger (10-1 betting odds), mounted by jockey Christophe Soumillon, held off Elusive Kate and Siyouma in the final stages of the Group 1 event. The tandem took in £90,736 in first prize despite soft conditions at Newmarket.

For Glorious Goodwood, horse tipsters now tag Izzi Top as the betting favourite in the Nassau Stakes. Izzi Top recently claimed the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh.

In other news, Shareta is tentative for Saturday’s highly anticipated King George at Ascot. Shareta, trained by Alain de Royer Dupre, came in second behind Danedream in last season's Arc. The four-year-old fillyis owned by Aga Khan and currently rated 122 by Timeform.

Alain du Royer Dupre will also have Reliable Man contend in a highly competitive field at Ascot. Reliable Man finished third in the Prix Ganay this season, and placed fourth behind So You Think in the Prince of Wales's Stakes. King George will feature elite runners such as Danedream, St Nicholas Abbey, Nathaniel and Sea Moon.
