Nationals pitcher Gio Gonzalez allowed just one run on two hits and struck out seven batters in his second rehab start for single-A Potomac Thursday evening. Gonzalez, who was placed on the disabled list on May 18 with shoulder inflammation, told reporters after the game that his shoulder feels good and that he is ready to return to the Nationals pitching rotation.

Gonzalez is eligible to come off the disabled list and pitch on Tuesday, June 17th but the Washington Post reported that he would most likely not start until Wednesday to give him an extra day of rest between starts. Gonzalez has gone (3-4) with a 4.62 ERA through 9 starts for the Nationals this season.
